As a Pacific-led general practice and the only Pacific-led GP practice in the central region, Pacific Health Plus continues to prioritise visible community engagement and accessible support for the diverse communities it serves.

General Manager Lalo Fiso said being present at community events remains an important part of Pacific Health Plus’ role.

“Our responsibility is to show up where our communities are — not only in clinic settings but in everyday spaces where families gather. Being visible and approachable strengthens trust and connection, and supports positive wellbeing across our communities.”

Pacific Health Plus Chair Fiso John Fiso also acknowledged the importance of strong Pacific leadership and presence across the region.

“Health and wellbeing extend beyond clinic walls. When we are present in our communities, we reinforce connection, leadership and support in ways that are meaningful and culturally grounded.”

The Pacific Health Plus clinical and operations team, coordinated by Practice Manager Ioana Viliamu-Amusia, supported a warm and welcoming presence throughout the evening, engaging with families, youth and supporters across the event.

The evening reflected the strength of community connection and the importance of looking out for one another and celebrating safely together — values that align closely with Pacific Health Plus’ ongoing commitment to community wellbeing.

Pacific Health Plus will continue to build on opportunities to connect with communities in visible and meaningful ways, reinforcing its role as a trusted Pacific-led health provider in the central region.
